We are happy to announce that Brenda Edwards, of Quantum Life Management, will be hosting a monthly workshop, the last Monday of each month, at Golden Moments starting January 27, 2020, from 7pm-9pm. These sessions will include guided meditation, healing techniques, teaching on many aspects of spirituality and group circles. The cost for these workshops is $20.00 per person. Bring a pen, notebook and your curiosity! All are welcome to attend!
We will be beginning to plan some fun outings/field trips for Spring/Summer 2020 when the weather starts getting nicer!
Happy New Year!
Happy Holidays! Our yearly Christmas part was a success. We even had a visit from Santa, who handed out gifts to our Golden Moments participants.
We also have two new “additions” to the Golden Moments Family, Pax and Cosmo, our Ragdoll kittens. Known for their docile and affectionate nature, this breed of cat is perfect for pet therapy and have all our participants smiling ear to ear when they are around. Their names, “Pax”, meaning Peace; and “Cosmo”, meaning Universe, are a perfect representation of peaceful community that is Golden Moments.
We are now accepting new participants for January. We currently have One opening Mondays and Wednesdays and Two openings Tuesdays and Thursdays. As always, we are happy to work with your schedule where we can. Call today for a tour and free trial!
As winter approaches, there are some common dangers imposed to seniors to keep in mind.
- Ice and snow on driveways and sidewalks make falls in the winter common. Make sure walkways are shoveled and salted/sanded to prevent slips and falls.
- Dress for warmth. Temperatures in our area can dip below zero! Even if temps seem mild, it is always good to have extra layers.
- Fight seasonal depression with tips from your doctor
- Be prepared for power outages with a plan for heat and backup power if needed.
October has been a blast here at Golden Moments! We have a new friend, Dolores, who is here on Tuesdays doing her Chair Movement class. We had our Fall Luncheon at Brewmaster’s Tavern, picked pumpkins (and later painted) at a local farm, have learned to do the “Git Up” with Diane, our energetic Activities Manager.
As the year goes on, we are getting busier and busier. Make an appointment to tour our program facility, meet the group and caregivers and ask more about our program. We will be taking a few more admissions in the month of November before we are FULL!
